Tifway 419

Tifway 419 is a dense, fine-textured, hybrid Bermuda grass. This warm season turf grass requires full sun, and has a good heat tolerance, wear resistance and will recover quickly if damaged. Although Tifway 419 is an excellent choice for home lawns, it is primarily used on golf courses, sport fields, and commercial sites. Tifway’s density and quick recovery from injury make it one of the most durable bermudas available. This variety is most attractive when mowed more frequently with a reel mower.

Raleigh

Our most popular St. Augustine; Raleigh St. Augustine was discovered in a home lawn in Raleigh, NC and released by North Carolina State University in 1980. This proven variety for 30+ years is SAD (St. Augustine Decline) resistant. It has a medium green color with a coarse texture. Raleigh adapts well to heavier, organic, clay soils with medium to low soil pH. Raleigh thrives in moist, humid climates with mild winters and, as a result, is a popular grass for Gulf Coast areas. It has excellent salt tolerance, making it perfect for seaside lawns. This grass performs in sun or shade with at least 4 hours of sun daily. Raleigh recovers relatively quickly from moderate traffic.

 

Palisades

A medium textured grass that is great in shady areas and has low water use requirements. Palisades is a medium-textured grass that is noted for its shade tolerance, low water use and minimal fertilizer requirements. Since it is a slow growing, non-encroaching grass, Palisades requires less mowing and requires little to no edging. Other features of Palisades are its resistance to insects and weed invasions. It is used on residential, commercial, and golf sites.

 

Palmetto

The cold tolerant St. Augustine; Palmetto is a native St. Augustine selected for better color and finer texture. Palmetto demonstrates superior shade, cold, frost, heat and drought tolerance. This versatile turfgrass is used across the southern United States from the Carolinas to California under a wide range of climate and soil conditions making it the ideal choice for residential and commercial use. Palmetto St. Augustine is a low maintenance turf grass with a beautiful dark green color. Excellent shade and drought tolerance, cold hardiness, disease resistance, and soft to the touch feel make Palmetto the ideal turf grass for home and commercial applications throughout the southern US.

 

Zeon

zoysia

Zeon is one of the most shade tolerant, fastest growing zoysias on the market. This fine bladed grass has exceptional shade and drought tolerance, low thatch production and improved traffic tolerance. Zeon recovers quickly from injury due to its extensive root system. On golf course fairways, Zeon can be mowed as low as 3/8” height. On homeowner and commercial sites, Zeon can be mowed from 1”-2” making it the ideal “Barefoot Grass.”
